Tidy desk cables without blocking access

List the cables that move and the cables that stay in place. A laptop charging lead needs accessible slack; a monitor cable can often stay routed behind the desk. Avoid pulling cables tight at connectors or creating sharp bends just to achieve a cleaner appearance.

Check how a tray or clip attaches. Clamp fittings need the right desk thickness and enough clearance underneath. Adhesive fittings depend on the surface and preparation, and may leave marks. A large accessory bundle is not useful if most attachments do not suit your desk.

Keep plugs, switches and power adapters accessible and follow equipment ventilation instructions. Cable organisation does not increase a power strip's electrical capacity. Compare the quantity and dimensions of the specific clips or ties you need, and start with a small layout you can adjust.

This is a buying checklist, not a hands-on product review. Check the exact product specifications and seller terms before ordering.
